We interrupt your regularly scheduled intro posts with the most unsurprising news ever. That's right those loud friendless losers will be holding yet another event:


PAINTBALL BATTLES

DATE: JUNE 19TH / DAY 100
PLACE: GEFION PARK (area away from the most foot traffic!)
PARTICIPATION: open to all! this event is also not mandatory for club members
FORMAT: There will be two major paintball battles: the zombie apocalypse-themed one and the VIP battle. It's not necessary to participate in both if you only want to play one type of paintball game but sign-ups will be necessary for the VIP battle to split participants up into teams!
RECOMMENDED READING: Or rather read this page instead because they explain it better than I do and with far less overuse of the word like.
AFTERMATH: While we encourage everyone to keep the action contained to the designated area in Gefion Park, we also think it'd be fun if one of the player-run businesses got paint-splattered as a result of overzealous club members! So that the club members will have to clean it up. being friendless loser is suffering (also friendless)

THINGS TO KNOW
➥ basic gear: paintball guns, rounds, air tanks, masks but if your character would much rather go without them, that's fine with us! recommended clothing: anything that covers the whole body unless you want your character to be fully paint-splattered. all gear and fatigues will be provided for thanks to kodaka's share of the sigyn winnings.
➥ your club leaders are yozora and sena. we expect- we encourage cheating to happen. the more flagrant the better!
➥ innocent bystanders are also welcome!
➥ Characters have the option of joining both battles or only jumping into one. The zombie apocalypse rounds are free-for-all so pop in with your threads any time! The VIP battles require sign-ups.



ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

☠ ROUND ONE MECHANICS: Your straightforward elimination / last man standing. Any clear hit (that is not just hit by stray paint splatters) means that the player is out. The duration will be 15 minutes. At the end of the 15 minutes, every player who's been eliminated will be zombies for round two! Paintball colors will be red.
☠ ROUND TWO MECHANICS: ZOMBIE TIME. Survivors from round one now face off against the players-turned-zombies as well as NPCs who've been persuaded to participate to form actual zombie hordes. The duration for this round will be 20 minutes. Paintball colors will be blue.
➥ SURVIVORS = As noted above, the guns that the survivors have from a previous round are rendered useless. Guns and hoppers with blue ammo have been placed around the battle area, some hidden, some out in the open. Also provided for the survivors? Grenades. They'll need them. The goal is to get those guns and grenades but the ammo will be very limited and the enemies?
➥ NPC ZOMBIES = as many as you want to make things interesting. Player zombies can direct them for strategic ambushes. They've been given instructions to play along and have been given their own limitations. The more number of zombies around, the smarter they get which means the player zombies directing them can use better tactics. They're required to act like zombies (minus the trying to maul you) however so they can only lurch and moan.
➥ PLAYER ZOMBIES = are like bosses. Player zombies are harder to take down and they come with their own mobs. That's right, player zombies can use strategy and they can only be taken down by use of the paint grenades. Player zombies can move at their regular speed but if they get hit by paint bullets, they must pause for five seconds before moving again. Player zombies can also "turn" survivor players by smearing them with red paint provided to them. How to even get close enough for that? Well mobbing the survivor might work.

VIP BATTLE

➥ MECHANICS: This page explains it best but to summarize it, we'll be splitting up the participants into teams (at least two but the number can be bumped up depending on the number of participants who join). One person is chosen as the VIP (randomized choice) and it's the goal of each team to eliminate the other team's VIP to win. VIPs will be unarmed. The duration of this battle will be 20 minutes!
➥ SIGN-UPS: We'll be needing people to sign-up for this event in order to get a proper count on participants! Also, there'll be an additional field in the sign-up post where you can indicate whether or not you're fine with having your character be included in the pool for VIPs.
➥ We'll be closing sign-ups the day before in order to get the line-ups for the team done and we'll post them ASAP so people can plot if they want to!
