MOD POST: NOVEMBER PLAYER POLL

Howdy all! Faith here on her character journal cos he has paid time and can make polls! Haha

Our poll this time around is in regards to November's plot event, the conclusion of which will be determined by player vote! But not just player vote; this is an IC poll and votes should be IC and reflect what your character wants to happen. Also, characters that will be inside the mirror!verse cannot vote, so please be mindful of this when you plot and when you vote.

Now, to explain the poll itself, some copy/paste! Travellers will be given three options:

1. Destroy the mirrors. This will "drop" the spell in a literal sense; that is, it will collapse the spell in on itself and kill everyone inside. The Giants inside will be dead permanently, but the Travellers will be able to revive through the castle as per usual. The counter argument: you're killing everyone, and the people affected don't get a say in it. It would be the cleanest and safest solution, but as with the Bad Moon Rising plot, clean doesn't necessarily mean humane.
2. Let Surt and Thiazi figure it out. This will involve a lot more quarrelling between the Giants, prolonged entrapment in the mirror!verse, but eventually Thiazi would yield and stop her spell. This would bring all of the Travellers and the Giants back into the city alive. The counter argument: the city will continue to be under attack and destroyed, those in the mirror!verse will continue to suffer, and it involves counting on the Giants to do The Right Thing. It also brings the Giants back into the city, leaving them to continue the battle in the real Asgard It takes the weight of those deaths off your shoulders, but inaction can sometimes be as harmful as action.
3. Relying on the gods. This will involve dropping one of the gods into the mirror!verse to try and break through from within. How exactly this happens will be announced closer towards the event itself after the conclusion of the poll, because we're rude like that. The counter argument: the gods don't know if it will work! They've been trying to figure out what Thiazi did, but her magic is wildly out of control and collapsing in on itself, so there is no guarantee that anyone will survive the attempt - including the god that goes into the mirror!verse. It also involves trusting the gods, which you lot aren't typically keen on, so there's really a lot at stake here.
4. Other. If you choose other, please be prepared to explain in the comments section what your alternative solution is. Feel free to use these comments for discussion amongst yourselves; if there's enough response to an alternative solution, we can use that instead!

Are the travelers going it receive all the details you described up there in the npc post or it's just ooc information?

They will receive some of it. For instance, the gods don't know that Thiazi will eventually stop her spell, they just hope she will before it kills a ton of her followers. The third will have more information at the time of the post.

Ok, one more, because Jack will make lots of questions on the npc post before taking the decision in-game. :P If the gods' spell works, is there a chance that the giants are coming back too like in option #2? Not asking for spoilers of what will actually happen, mind you! Just, what the gods ICly think will happen and tell the travelers.

They will basically tell them that there are a few possibilities but there's no guarantee of anything. They have ideas of how to accomplish it but because it's Giant magic and god magic is drastically different, things could either work perfectly or go Very Badly.

Which is a convoluted way of saying yes, it's possible!

When Thiazi and Surt post on the network, will Travelers be able to communicate with them, or is it a one time post? I'd assume either of them on it would kind of be considered hijacking the network...

Haha It is hijacking the network, so they won't be on for long ( also because they're bickering and probably going to try to kill each other ) but we wanna give them a bit of time to respond so that PCs can talk to them for a bit. :]

Santa Claus comes early and brings along his ninja reindeer who can talk in the mirror verse and they all sound Australian, but they go in and kick ass, except for Rudolph since he just uses his laser firing nose to decimate all incoming forces. Then Santa sleigh rides everyone back to regular Asgard and everyone gets one really cool bitching gift for Christmas before the knockout drugs he slipped into the hot cocoa take effect and everyone's zonked out for the night while elves come in and sweep up the mess.

There might be a few penises drawn on faces or people placed in inappropriate positions during this because you can't trust elves. Ever. The penises will last until Christmas morning, at which point they'll explode in glitter and you'll hear 'Merry Christmas' playing in the background.

There will also be magical mistletoe set up and Severus Snape will have had fifteen penises drawn on his face and Steven his stupid emu will have antlers glued to his head.
