Event: Spelling Bee Skills: Iceland and literature in general go together quite well; he's been reading and writing basically since he was born, and he was born over 1000 years ago. He has a great deal of knowledge of vocabulary and spelling as someone who spends a lot of time doing that sort of thing does. He also knows obscure words/words that aren't used that often anymore simply because he was alive when they were used. It may also be worth noting that if any of the words regarding Asgard and its place names come up he could spell those in his sleep, given his native language is Icelandic. He should do quite well, and it is possible for him to win.
Event: Drinking Contest Skills: Iceland has an above average tolerance, though he usually doesn't drink all that often. He's also usually pretty good at pacing himself. He's likely to try to get the competition to drink more, too, if he can talk them into it/inflame their competitive spirits. Iceland could also boil off the alcohol, actually, though he probably wouldn't do that unless he was one of the last few and was worried he might lose (and he wouldn't do it if he thought he'd get caught).
