Not sure if this would go in event or tone/pacing, and I want to disclaim both that 1) this isn't a thing that really bothered me too much and B) I might be the only one who felt this way. But it was something I thought about when I first came in and that I just recalled in light of other concerns about the ability of new players to get involved.
Anyway, something that did throw me off when I first got in is that there were all these events on the calendar for the next month, which is great! But it came off to me like a lot of players had already done their plotting at the start of the month when the November events were posted, and even those who were apping second/third/etc characters still already had a head start on it.
In retrospect, it wouldn't have been too hard to go back to the post and comment around, but it was a lot to take in all at once. Like I just got in game and I was already trying to catch up with stuff I "missed". Plus when you're new, you don't really want to be That Guy who comes to the party late and comment to a bunch of people who already have a ton of plans and make things awkward.
Now, personally in the end I did make some plans for the mirror plot and wound up dropping the ball myself, so I'm not too fussed about that specifically. I don't know if this is actually a problem for anyone else, or if it's the timing of these specific events, or just the fact that I'm playing a less social character. But I wanted to share it anyway in case I'm not the only one...
