Short of any insane heart to heart happening (which I don't forsee) if Ellie were to work with Brax somehow and see that he's a reliable guy, she'd probably develop a small measure of trust in him.

Unfortunately Ellie's not a character who builds trust easily though. I'm not gonna lie, it might not be doable in the time frame.
