Greetings Ass Guardians! As you all know, we have now completely switched over to Dreamwidth and can now get things rolling again! So, a few things first:

1. Our first game-wide MANDATORY HMD will be posted on the 20th of January.
2. Activity Check will begin on the 26th of January and will only require ONE EXAMPLE OF ACTIVITY from this month.
3. Day changes will no longer be posted in the main community every two days. Instead, Day Changes will be indicated on the calendar for each month. February's should be up soon!

Now, just a note: We are currently working on revamping the taken list so that it shows character names AND journals. Because DW apparently doesn't recognize the title="" codes, we'll have to go back and add every name manually, so it WILL take a while. Please be patient.

Alright, now for the fun part:
CUPCAKE WARS.

Starting on the 19th of January, Travelers will be encouraged to participate in a competition designed by the gods. What will they be doing? BATTLING TO THE DEATH, OF COURSE. Except...instead of battling, they're making cupcakes...and it's not...actually to the death.

Alright, so this is how the event is going to work. On the 19th, a 'cupcake station' will appear in the kitchen of each house. At this station, there will be a small wooden table with a piece of parchment attached to it, explaining the competition. The members of each house are to work together to create cupcakes. These cupcakes will then be entered into a competition where they will be judged by the gods themselves. There will, of course, be prizes.

Though the letter makes no mention of it, travelers will soon find that their cupcake table works just as the one at the New Year's festival did; if they approach the table with any sort of ingredient in mind, the table will bring that ingredient forth. That's right, ANY INGREDIENT THEY WANT. Apples, oranges, vodka, dirt, worms, arsenic, etc.. ANYTHING. So have fun with it, guys.

*NOTE: YOU MAY ONLY WORK WITH OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE TO MAKE CUPCAKES. The entire point of these sorts of competitions is to make NEW CR. This isn't to say that everyone in the house has to work together in one big group, of course, but the prizes awarded will be awarded to the HOUSE, not the individual, so the more teamwork the better, even if it's in several smaller groups!

On the 19th, AN OFFICIAL CUPCAKE WARS LOG WILL BE POSTED IN THE LOG COMMUNITY. There will be a thread there for each house to work on their cupcakes and one last thread for judging. Under the JUDGING thread, you should post a quick comment about your characters' group's cupcakes including what they look like, how they taste, what they're made out of, etc.. Here, the mods will ACTUALLY judge each cupcake and choose winners for each category. Again, the prizes will be awarded to the winning HOUSE, not the winning group itself.

Lirael and Conan have already had a bit of cooking experience together, but I am greedy for the CR and would welcome threads with all of you, especially the others on the 3rd floor with Conan.

How can we make this happen?

YO HEL HOUSE..! +_+ I'm also eager to get CR with all my housebros, though Sabitsuki here is a canon shut-in. You might have seen her sneaking out at odd hours of the night to get food. ANYWAY--

I was thinking of doing a small mini-plot in which Sabi sabotages/poisons some of the cupcakes - I got the mod OK, is that cool with everyone else? 83a AND IF SO would anyone be interested in giving her an opening to do so (willingly or otherwise)?

If Lirael-mun okays it, I'm okay with some of Conan and Lirael's cupcakes being sabotaged -- so long as you don't mind Conan investigating this afterwards? I would love a case for him, particularly if it's one he can solve.
