MOD POST: Housing / Paid Housing / Player Contact

HI GUYS.

Tosshi here to bring you a few updates! :)

First of all, rooming is done to the best of my current knowledge. If there are any mistakes, don't hesitate to let me know so I can fix them up!

Second, you may notice the change in formatting for rooming. Not only has it been split into House-specific pages, but there's now a Paid Rooming section! There's info about how paid rooming in general works on the main housing page, so please read up. It's open as of right now, so you're welcome to go ahead and have your character move out of their Hall by themselves or with friends. Just make sure you're reasonable about the costs. Someone who got in February round isn't going to have the money to move out, and most likely no one's going to be able to afford the highest quality housing yet unless they're running a successful business or have another very high-paying job. We're not going to police this harshly, we just ask everyone to be as realistic and practical as they can.

Third, a player contact page was just put up in this very comm. :) We ask that everyone please fill out the new player form so we can all be listed! You're not required to put down anything more than your name and characters (or you can avoid it altogether if you wish, though we'd prefer if you commented with that much), and the post is member-locked. You'll always be able to access it via the "!player contact" tag, and it'll also be linked in the Navigation post. Thanks for your cooperation!

One last P.S. -- soon there will be a "Story So Far" page, so that everyone can see how the plot has progressed and what has been discovered ICly at a glance. Look out for it in the near future!

The unused rooms are locked, but they could be picked or broken into without too much trouble! :) If someone then moves in, any stuff that someone else put there would just end up in that person's room.

For the housing, when you say 5-8 people, do you mean there are that many rooms? If so, could we technically have people share a room if they're okay with less space?

It varies! You could assume 8 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms or whatever exact layout of the house you'd like. The exact number is more OOC -- if you have less than 5 people moving into that house, we'll want to make sure their income is high enough to afford it, and there can't be more than 8 people in the house at all. It's ICly explained by lease terms, and OOCly by us wanting to have a cap that we feel is practical for a house in the city.
