John here is fresh out of the end of season 2 of Torchwood, so he's already been there and done that TWICE as far as the Torchwood team is concerned. He'll be pretty damn surprised to see Tosh and or Owen, but then again not that surprised considering he's used to dealing with wibbly wobbly timelines.
