Just in case you needed more emotionally damaged little girls. This is Shikki with character number two.

If Rule of Rose is Lord of the Flies except with orphan girls, then this girl is most definitely the embodiment of Jack. Diana is beautiful, cruel, inspiring, and doesn't shy away from anything she's told to do. Which includes some pretty horrible things, seriously. She's a piece of work. Hating adults but longing to be one, she's a bit of a mess when it comes to where she fits in in the world and takes it out on the people around her instead.

oh gosh that's such a sad chapter. i would encourage playing it again! the best part of the game is just going around trying to piece together all of the mysteries with what the game does and doesn't tell you.

Yesss all the underlying things they don't directly say is what makes it so good )8 I need to find a copy of it..

oh gosh it's so expensive nowadays but definitely worth it!

also if you haven't read it the rule of rose mysteries blog will eat up your time for days and seriously makes you think more when you go through

Here! My only caution is it does deal with sensitive subject matter at times that could be triggering and doesn't mark it super well. Most of that is in the game or is at least heavily implied, but stilL! Other than that it's an excellent though provoking blog.

Thanks for the head's up! This style of game kind of reminds me of the fatal Frame series...that one was also heavily messed up.

yeah! they kind of have the same atmosphere. except. i can play rule of rose without bursting into hysterical tears everytime something goes bump outside my field of vision.

whereas in fatal frame i will throw the controller and run.

and then come back to it's horrifying pause screen.
