TRAVELLER FESTIVAL: IT EVEN HAS A NAME NOW.

Apologies for being quiet this week! I am feeling much better now and am keen to get back into the swing of things. With that in mind, this is an ooc update on the progress of the Festival and a call for more volunteers!

+ Hanako and Nakama have taken charge of food and decorations respectively. If your character wants to be involved by having a food stall, or contributing to the decorations please either leave a note here or let the players know!
+ Posters and fliers have distributed! The posters read:
Traveller Festival: Our Chance to Shine!
When: Day 123, [afternoon - evening]
Where: Gefion Park.
A blurb about the event and some of the attractions follows -- live performances by fellow Travellers, stalls offering food and demonstrations of Traveller-run businesses, and a firework display to finish.

+Performers. This can be anything. We already have musicians, acrobatics, a magic show and a demonstration sword fight, but we're looking for more! Especially musicians, but Hanako and Arihiko ICly came up with suggestions that might spark some ideas. Cutting and pasting directly from Hanako here:

- Freyr: Staging a play; art galleries; musical performances.
- Hel: Building a ghost house; perhaps those with Shadow Control may set up a puppet show for kids.
- Freya: Maid cafe, similar to the one set up by the Neighbors club if you remember; Speed dating, too. Inui-san said it might attract people who are interested in these sorts of things.
- Odin: Magic shows with the Ice and Fire powers.
- Loki: Tricks and magic shows as well. I believe those members like Kuroba-san might be interested in this.
- Sigyn: Food stands; Nursing in case of incidents.
- Heimdall: Security guarding; general labor work?
- Thor: Acrobatic shows; maybe even combat tournaments, if we guarantee the safety of the partecipants.
- Baldr: I have nothing, but Inui-san said he'd get a word from the founders of the Neighbors Club for something thet could organize, since the both of them are from that house.

+Stalls | Clubs | Businesses
If your character has a cafe or club, a food stall would be a great IC way for them to advertise/display their wares! Please check in with Hanako-mun to try and avoid doubling up. From memory we have one ramen stand, one cake stall, and Yuri's tea house involved.

For other businesses you might need to be a little more creative. For example, Watson runs the clinic in Heimdall. For the festival, he'll be putting up a stall that will teach people a few basics of first aid, assisted by any clinic staff who wish to take part. They will also be there in case of anyone getting injured, so Sigyn people who want to practice healing, this might be a chance for you!

The neighbours club are hosting a karaoke stage! The possibilities here are endless.

+Decorators
If your character has an artistic side, why not get them involved making banners, putting up stages, decorating stalls, painting signs, designing programmes ... ? People from Sigyn with Growth are especially welcomed to create vibrant flower displays throughout the festival, and people with Drawing Life are wanted for being generally awesome and being able to help with create supplies as well as decorating them. If you've got an idea for something spectacular talk to Nakama!


It is not too late to get involved! I am going to put up an IC post about this today or tomorrow along with a log for the preparations. You are more than welcome to assume that your character heard about it via the network or saw the posters/fliers and jump right in. In fact, please do!
