Hello, Asgard! This is skarme who plays Yosuke. If you've already checked out this month's event rundown, you'll probably have noticed a mention under D555 (December 14-15) of a large snowball fight crashing what would otherwise be some pretty standard street celebrations. Well, surprise, I'm here to crash that event post - because in fact the snowball fight is going to be a whole (mod-approved) thing of its own! The idea is basically something light-hearted and winter-appropriate - sorry, Southern Hemisphere folks - but it's also intended as an opportunity for characters in the less overtly military groups to spring into action, because why not?

In fast and silly facts form:

In the afternoon of D555, a snowball fight will break out, beginning around Gefion Park but rapidly spreading. Welcome Committee characters and their CR may have a little advance warning, but they might not.

For a short period of time, every street in the Holy City will be a snowy warzone. Trample all the stalls! Snowball all the lights! There will be no winners, only snow.

Characters are free to respond however they wish, either to join in or to help stem the tide. For the latter, cooperation between the various groups is strongly encouraged!

After a few hours, the chaos will abate. How exactly (and how soon) that plays out is up to you and your plotting, so have at it!

There will be a separate and totally open mingle log purely for snow shenanigans if you'd like to keep those separate of the main event post, which will be up is now live HERE! Please continue to use this post for questions, planning, idea-bouncing and whatever else your heart desires.

Hello Asgard! It's been a little while. I know a few weeks back some of the Assassin bros were wondering about setting up some secret, emergency supply caches around the city, and I thought it might be a fun idea to extend this to the Strike Team as well! Mostly so that Yusuf can have some more friends, let's be honest.

So this is an OOC plurk dedicated to drumming up interest and also some OOC plotting for things like specific locations the Strike Team might want a cache, things you or your character would want to see put in it, and who would be up for putting these around town, aka get chased by the City Patrol and spread a little mayhem when we all run around at once. 8D

I was planning an open log post for all this stuff on the 22nd, though if you think that's too soon please feel free to tell me in the OOC sign-up thread below. If plot information comes out for the Fear Itself event and you feel like you can't do this after you sign up, that is totally fine too! Just let me know in this post, over PM to this journal, or over on plurk at metathepanda so that I don't ping you for it later.

Starting today! I was going to write this post like. A week ago. Hrm.

ANYWAY.

For three to four IC days (I haven't decided yet) - so that's 511 to 513 or 514 and 9/17 to 9/22 or 9/24 - the Eleventh Doctor will be cursed with a bit of a personality switch! It's not a complete 180, but most noticably he'll be honest, blunt, opt for saying things in few words (!!), more subdued and less flaily. It'll probably be a little disturbing, for those who know him ...

This is your chance to ask him things you haven't been able to get proper answers out of him for!

So Katie is about to be hit by her very first curse! On the night of 466 to 467 (Friday to Saturday for us) and throughout this next week, Katie is going to be under a death-like sleep. Which means nobody's home to keep Syhon tucked away in her head! So he's coming out to play and cause a little mayhem.

He's going to pretend to be Katie for the first day or two, then eventually people should start suspecting that something's up and those who know she's possessed by identify who's the culprit.

This is mainly a post for her CR because Syhon would very much like to mess around with Katie's friends and make them hate her. This should include manipulating them around, setting them against each other, insulting them, but possibly even hitting them. And since Syhon's power is telepathy, he will be wanting to know what you're thinking so he can use it against you.

SO YES. Plot with me pls, Syhon gets few chances to come out and play.

Brienne here is going to get her stubborn ass killed during the opt out plot and it would be great if it could be in defence of someone else. My idea was to have her get killed by one of the giant patrols during week two so that she can then go and hang out as a ghost in the city for a while and be generally displeased with things.

So, anyone feel like having someone nobly sacrifice themselves for your character?

Also if anyone wants Ghanima anywhere for the plot happening in the city please do let me know :D

Hey folks! In the grand tradition of the gods apparently feeling nostalgic for people's younger days, Irving Braxiatel is going to do revert to Icicle Braxiatel. I'm keeping him Miles Richardson, because it's my headcanon that he more or less sticks around the same incarnation so he doesn't get busted quite so often when he messes about with the First Law of Time. (DON'T MEET YOURSELF. Brax breaks this one hell of a lot.)

Brax will know who you are, not because he'll remember anyone but because Irving, ever prepared for everything, will have written notes on everyone and even at this age, Brax knows to take instruction from himself. (Even if he resents himself being as mysterious with him, if not more so, as he would anyone else.)

He'll be more like he belongs in Odin for his time here, head deep in books, not nearly as warm as his elder self but still very curious about humanity and even how the Master and the Doctor grew up into how they are, so he won't be as closed off as he could be. Just unspeakably awkward! So it should be fun.

Anyway, I'll have a post up tomorrow. Feel free to start plotting stuffs in the comments.

THE SCHOOL IS BURNING!!!

WHEN: In between the Funeral plot and the Burning Bridges plot. The log will go up on March 20th.

WHAT: Barty sets fire to Snape's school using the mirror which Dumbledore gave Barty for Christmas. Only a portion of the school is burnt, but it's burnt badly and suffers extensive structural damage.

The fire is set after hours before sundown. It will sweep through the library, the auditorium and through five classrooms. It's yet to be determined who will raise the alarm that the school is on fire, but the alarm itself will be raised via SOS over the network. The fire-fighting and potential deaths and whatnot will take place in a log post over on the log community.

WHAT YOU PEOPLE CAN OPT IN TO:
- Being killed or injured in the fire
- Fighting the fire
- Investigating the cause of the fire?
- Healing/tending to those injured in the fire
- Suspects! People suspected of causing the fire! (People with Fire Magic? People who've been acting suspiciously for whatever reason? People who are known to hate kids or perhaps even Snape (Stiles *cough*). Snape himself will be a suspect.
- Other ideas are welcome, of course!

After the fire is put out and when the school is repaired there will be a "post-fire" plot where people will be welcome to come and help out with painting, rebuilding the library, doing whatever work possible to help restore the school.


Barty is eventually going to fess up and/or be rightfully accused, but we want more people to have the opportunity to get involved, so we'd prefer for the whodunit aspect to not be resolved too quickly.

Okay, everyone who put in their bid on the Mushroom House, please point your eyes this way!

I had a few offers, both single and multiple occupants, and now it's the IC time when he would've made his choice. I'm not sure where things rest with the characters and their muns, and I don't have all of you on my Plurk, so this is a call to check in and make sure things are done fairly.

If you have a group and either replied to his post, were contacted by another character about it, or missed it entirely but would like to handwave that they offered, please respond here with the names of the people who would want to be renting. It can be anywhere from two to four people, five if there's two people who would be willing to share the upstairs (which is one large living suite with one bed.) If you have a single occupant who would require additional roommates to pay the full sum, respond saying they will require roommates, so long as they're willing to be paired up randomly. Finally, if a single respondent can pay the full land tax (probably about the cost of a mid-range house in the city), reply saying they will pay in full.

I'll RNG the results, and if a group or someone who can pay the full tax is chosen, they're the winners! If a single person is chosen, RNG will continue until a) the single respondents run out or b) the house is full. I feel like this is the fairest and most balanced way to do things, and since people might not see this post right away, you'll have until noon PST on Sunday March 9th before the RNG is done and everything is announced. If you knew someone who was interested, please pass the link along!

For one IC day (March 1-2) his canon point will be The Eleventh Hour, right in the beginning of it. You may find in each Welcome House there is a radio in the main living area, placed there recently and that local Asgard shops have begun (albeit tentatively) to sell radios as well for personal use.

ABOUT THE RADIO: It's a business. So this will be largely paid for by advertising. This will go into people's salaries, as Irving will pray for loan forgiveness. If your business needs a boost, by all means, we can assume that the ads will have featured (if you want to, you can have a script for one written out!)

So I joined this community and promptly failed to do anything at all. Without some direction I'm kind of lost - I'm not good at small talk, and Roland is less than patient with it, usually. I have no idea how to jump into the community plot, but something a little smaller-scale might work.

Is there anything anyone wants to see their character do that they haven't had a chance to make happen? One old cowboy-knight's available to help, just kind of... wandering around.

Hello, Asgard! TF here representing the RotG cast to remind you of the Winter Holidays event that will happen on days 373/4 (17th-20th). Let's do a quick check list, shall we?

-Day 373 (17th-18th) is the preparation log. Everyone gets to cook, knit more horrible things, go caroling from door to door, etc. Day 374 (19th/20th) is the actual festival, which also will be a log. Though of course, after the IC announcement, your muses can make logs/post about their own activities to get ready if you want! Use this event like any other event, go crazy.

-The night of 373 the cast will deliver the magic gifts (please remember to check out the mods' rules for that here!). This is a surprise. ICly, characters only know about the festival, not about the gifts. However, we're willing to thread some of the Guardians being caught by other characters while doing the delivery. We can't promise to hit everyone, but comment here if you're interested and we'll do our best. If too many people sign up for that, we'll just let RNG decide.

-Tell us about the traditions you wanna see! OOCly in this post or the plotting post, ICly can go here. Tell us what your country does for these celebrations, what other cultures you've read about (for example we're including Hanukkah somewhere there). And this isn't only about Christmas, tell us about any winter holiday. Is your character from an invented world? Headcanon away! We'll make a master post with all the traditions you and google research gives us, that's what characters will find in the festival. The day will end with fireworks!

-Jamie is sending gifts to the gods via the shrines. Jack is sending them coal. You can add your own to that too. We're also sending letters to Honir and Mimir.

-To the players of the NPCs: Jamie and/or Sandy are contacting you for help. If your god is feeling mischievous/teasing/mean/etc and want Jack (or the others) to show up and ask nicely too instead of hiding behind a cute kid, let us know.

-Since the gifts are a surprise, if someone wants to organize an IC Secret Santa, please free to do it! That's another tradition after all.
