MOD POST: PLAYER POLL: GASP SHOCK AWE REPOLL
So! In an unanticipated turn of events, the IC discussion about what to do with Satan ended up swinging in a direction we hadn't put on the original poll. We ended up having a vast majority of the conversation bring up the prospect of temporarily taking Satan's soul to determine once and for all whether or not he was telling the truth about being corrupted before passing judgment. IC development like this is exactly why we love running plots like this, so in the interest of encouraging that growth, we want to take a repoll about what to do with our traitor!
First off is the important decision of whether or not they should investigate further. This would require temporarily killing Satan to remove his soul and do a thorough examination to determine whether or not he was corrupted the entire time he was feeding information to Thiazi. This process would be painless and quick, a matter of maybe an hour or two before resurrecting Satan without any death consequences. Given that information, here's the first poll:
IF the gods are given the green light to do this, the results will prove his guilt. Not only was he not corrupted during the majority of his betrayal, he actually infected himself with Thiazi's magic by will and was never possessed by her at all! The gods and the Travellers can only find this out if they kill him first, which depends on the results of the first poll, but if they go through with it and find this information, it may or may not have an effect on your character's vote in his final judgment. To that ends, we're hosting a repoll of the trial's conclusion. Note that these results are only valid if the first poll swings 'yes'. We're mostly putting this here now to save time. Haha
Please remember to vote ICly and only vote once per character. The polls will be considered closed on Sept. 10 at 11:59PM CST. Let us know if you have any questions!

Can the gods kill Satan temporarily to determine his innocence or guilt?

Completely remove Thiazi's taint.
Remove the bracelet.
Let him go gray and stay gray.
Make him be one of the servants who tends the entrance portal so they can keep an eye on him.
Just in case they need him somehow and there is some small way he can be used against Thiazi. She's also not comfortable destroying him completely, as he might still come back again knowing this world.
Did I ever mention Sam had a mean streak?

that's even worse, man

Sam's got a real merciless streak when you piss her off enough, and she doesn't trust Satan on principle, particularly as she was almost lulled into thinking he was safe...

After all, part of her still wants to die, and stay dead finally.

So all these options ARE the best. Locking him up would be the one that would torture him the most, technically.

^_^ but yeah, I can see how he'd feel that. Everyone's got their perspectives.

This has been fun. Pity we haven't had the chance to scene as much with these two lately, but I've been enjoying the show. Need to hit Kaworu up with Equius sometime this month.

something he's suggested before for a person who couldn't be nearly as harmful in terms of lives affectedbloodless, so sure why not :|b Although sheesh y'all, didn't the fact that everyone had to sit around and debate it alone point towards the guy being guilty of something??no subject

but yeah, some consider it kinder because they don't kill Satan. Honestly, the guy could care less, just stop him from feeling like that is s'cool, s'cool.
Ahaha yessss.

Anyway, Alice is still skeptical about killing him because of the whole resurrection thing in game. She's more of a "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of person. On one hand, being that she was in an asylum for 10 years (not that anyone really knows here >_>; pretty sure Pyro was the only one who knew outright) and was catatonic for almost half of those years, she's a little torn about imprisonment and would like for some sort of civility. I think after this, she'll be very cynical with a few folks, but eh.
She's not big on traitors but she's also not big on cruelty, either.

Re: ALTERNATIVE: Grey
When Yosuke suggested it for Adachi, it was against Adachi's will.
