MOD POST: PLAYER POLL: GASP SHOCK AWE REPOLL

So! In an unanticipated turn of events, the IC discussion about what to do with Satan ended up swinging in a direction we hadn't put on the original poll. We ended up having a vast majority of the conversation bring up the prospect of temporarily taking Satan's soul to determine once and for all whether or not he was telling the truth about being corrupted before passing judgment. IC development like this is exactly why we love running plots like this, so in the interest of encouraging that growth, we want to take a repoll about what to do with our traitor!

First off is the important decision of whether or not they should investigate further. This would require temporarily killing Satan to remove his soul and do a thorough examination to determine whether or not he was corrupted the entire time he was feeding information to Thiazi. This process would be painless and quick, a matter of maybe an hour or two before resurrecting Satan without any death consequences. Given that information, here's the first poll:

Can the gods kill Satan temporarily to determine his innocence or guilt?

No.

IF the gods are given the green light to do this, the results will prove his guilt. Not only was he not corrupted during the majority of his betrayal, he actually infected himself with Thiazi's magic by will and was never possessed by her at all! The gods and the Travellers can only find this out if they kill him first, which depends on the results of the first poll, but if they go through with it and find this information, it may or may not have an effect on your character's vote in his final judgment. To that ends, we're hosting a repoll of the trial's conclusion. Note that these results are only valid if the first poll swings 'yes'. We're mostly putting this here now to save time. Haha

hey man she views this as the kindest option considering he wouldn't be suffering consciously, he just would exist as some empty shell of himself and yeah that's completely horrifying actually
