*nods* Samantha's suspicious nature aside, I had a feeling that might be the case. Sam's just outright distrustful of all authority figures. I'll keep an eye on this project, though.

A thought: If you're going the 'defense force' idea, you can also do voluntary sign ups for players interested in helping the project or being 'drafted' to assist in the defense/repair of certain areas. A sign up ICly or OOCly could help here a lot, especially if you can get at least 5 others to help as heads.

Yeah, that might be a good idea. I'm just not so sure how to do this, especially when there aren't many that seem to have been drawn to such a discussion in the first place...

My experience is that there's always a limited number of muns who are interested in 'team building' for a unified front in games like this, but there are ones who like the idea in general. However, similarly there's usually a lot of independently minded characters that aren't going to like the idea.

You're probably going to have the greatest success in the largest houses, and more trouble in the smaller houses like Thor and Baldr, simply because of a lower pool of members to work with.

That's true, but, there's this alternative; there was this suggestion made by Shiki, iirc, for there to be leaders in charge of three adjacent houses instead of having one or more for each house. It might be more appropriate in this fashion so as to balance things out with those houses with smaller member pools, yup.

*nods* Yes, that overall seems like a logical setup. It also requires less massive over-planning. Really, your headache will come from trying to organize TOO much. 3 leaders v 9 favors 3 in my view.

Might work. But I'm thinking a governmental system in itself isn't really going to work. Best to focus on a defence force for now.

Law Enforcement and Law creation tends to be about the extent of things usually. Asgard itself is also fairly intact, so it's difficult to say how helpful/appropriate it would be. don't completely rule it out yet, but yes. Defense force seems a good start.

Judging from the number of different societies and definitions of 'wrong' and 'right', it's probably difficult enough to draw a clear enough line for Law to actually be a thing that would work out in this setting.

But with time and understanding on the part of the majority, who knows...
