HEY GUYS. As of about 45 minutes ago, play is now open on DW. As stated in the LJ post that has been imported and is just below this, all play must now halt on LJ. The comms are being imported and it's taking little to no time at all, so you can pick up your old threads on DW as soon as they're imported. As a note, the first time you tag an imported thread, the person you're tagging won't receive a notif! That is, a comment made on DW in reply to a comment imported from LJ will not trigger a notif for that LJ user, so you might want to ping the people you're playing with when you tag the first time, and keep track of your own threads that are importing.

All links in this journal haven't been updated to their DW equivalents, so for quick reference the taken list is here and the housing list is here, and both will be undergoing some minor revamping to reflect the coding changes. You don't have to recomment to either of them as long as you'd commented on the moving post with your DW names when asked. If there's a mistake or you didn't comment previously here, you do need to comment to the lists. We're still getting everything changed and right now the housing list has not been updated to reflect changed journals, so if you commented before you do not need to now.

We're accepting all adds to the comm right now, and will be weeding out journals that shouldn't be here after AC. For those unfamiliar with his canon, he's essentially Troll Jesus, except without the actual religious connotations (he fights for equality). For those who are familiar with his canon, I should make a note here that my Signless is a bit young, aged around the troll equivalent of later teens. He hasn't gained too many followers yet, and knows nothing of his eventual fate as the Sufferer.

I chose Freya and the Charm powerline for Signless, so get ready to pucker up for justice.

Hello, all! I'm Sailor G, and I'm new to the game. I'm bringing you two characters from one of my fav multi-verses... Gundam!

First is this cutie here from Gundam Wing. Quatre Raberba Winner is the sweet one, known for being polite and social with everyone, concerned about your feelings, and having a nice cup of tea. He'll play you a tune on his favorite violin and then apologize as he blows up your mobile suit with his Gundam's giant curved blades of doom. Just don't mess with anyone he cares about, because he might just snap and kill you all. :D

My other character is not quite so nice. Tieria Erde of Gundam 00 is quiet, broody, and would rather scold you about something you did wrong than compliment what you did right. He likes to read, keep to himself, and sit comfortably on his high horse. Unfortunately, for all his posturing, when the fecal matter really hits the fan, as in a mission gone horribly wrong or the death of a close teammate, it all shatters.

As for me, I'm on AIM at Duches77 when I sign on, and on Plurk at duches77. I just ask that you let me know who you are when you reach out to me, like with a private plurk intro-ing yourself or saying "Hey, it's so-and-so from Asgard" when you IM me. Hello, this is Märchen, player of Mercedes and Kazumi, with two new characters, and double the adorable.

First off is this girl, Homura Akemi, from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, that series where being meguca is suffering and little girls make contracts to become meguca, not necessarily in that order. She's coming from early timeline 3, before a certain someone goes cray cray, and will be in Sigyn with the Healing ability.

Next up is the cutest demon god ever, Hanyuu Furude (aupologies), from that series where cicadas cry and people kill each other, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. She's the Oyashiro-sama everyone talks about except she goes "au au" a lot and loves creme puffs. She'll be coming from after the events of Minagoroshi-hen, and will be in Heimdall with Power Lending as her power!

I'm Fox, player of Yuri Petrov, bringing in another law-talking guy. Only this one is smaller and arguably cuter: Apollo Justice from the Ace Attorney game that's named after him. He's a grump and an amateur music critic, but is basically a good-hearted protagonist. Sometimes he talks VERY LOUDLY. He is also frequently mistaken for a 15 year old, although he's 22. His life is so difficult.

Apollo will be in Odin with firepower, so now I'm playing two lawyers who can set things on fire... for some reason.

Because of the nature of Apollo's perceiving ability and the pseudo-scientific explanation of his bracelet, it will be functioning in Asgard, so I put up a permissions post here. Basically, he can read people's unconscious gestures and tell if they're lying/having a strong emotional reaction. But it's a limited ability, and I'll only be using it when it's wanted!

Hello, hello asgard! Linlin here (mun of Sugata Shindou from Star Driver aaand Amaimon from Ao no Exorcist) with her third character Mahiru Inami from Working!!

Now a little bit about Mahiru for those who aren't very familiar with the series! She's got a server case of androphobia, which basically means that she's afraid of men.

When she was little her dad told her stories about how men were going to do horrible things to her (all because he didn't want her to have a boyfriend, thanks dad 8U) but, in hopes of just turning her off on some men she's afraid of them all (dad included). In the series she states that she can't be within two meters of men, or she'll punch them. Usually it's the face. From the canon point I'm taking her from she's a lot better at dealing with it, but she'll still... punch you in the face if you get too close to her. More tl;dr-y stuff can be found here in her application!

tl;dr Mahiru has androphobia that causes her to automatically punch the guy if they're within two meters of her.

She's taken from episode six from the second season aaaand she'll be in Thor house with the power of strength! SOO-- UHHH... G-GOOD LUCK WITH THAT THOR. ehehe--

Hello Asgard! I'm Morgan, the latest slab of fresh meat and a general source of fail, coming to you post move with two shiny characters from two shiny canons that...probably have all of five people per fandom. No I'm serious, I pretty much went full obscure with these two. Go me!

The first of them is this shiny fellow right here. Akiyama Shun from the canon Ryu Ga Gotoku, otherwise known as Yakuza. Akiyama is a successful business owner, running both his own financing organization known as Sky Finance, and a hostess club called Elise. He's also pretty good with his feet. And he loves a good nap here and there. Oh, and he is a genius with money. And was formally a bum. He's coming from post game, and will likely see this as one big vacation.

The second is Zephyr from a similarly obscure canon known as Resonance of Fate. Zephyr is an adorable bundle of snark, rage, and psychological issues. He's also extremely good at killing people. Did I mention he's the hero of our particular story? Well one of them at least. He's also a bit of a pervert, thanks Vashyron. He's coming from post game too...although he's less likely to vay-cay it up.

Akiyama here is part of house Odin, and has fire magic (which is good cause the guy smokes like a chimney and almost never has a working lighter on hand) and Zephyr is part of house Hel, and has shadow control.

I bring in a second character by the name of Akane Kurashiki from that one game where small bombs are how people are killed on a nice boat 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. Akane herself is... as the subject title denotes, a bit of a troll.

A-anyway, this here is Hazama from that animu fighting game called BlazBlue. The things you need to know about him is that he loves eggs and bubble baths, and detests cats and lies with a passion. He's also placed in Loki, with the ability of telepathy.

He's also one of the big bads in the series, but that's a minor detail, as he'll probably be too busy having fun ruining helping people with their lives or something like that since he's a giant troll. A permissions post for his telepathy and being a subtle ass to people will be up soon, along with everything else! Here's to a fun New Year guys!

Hello everyone! Please call me Keru! It's so nice to meet those of you I don't know, and it's wonderful to see those of you that I do! In any case, I'll be joining you with two new characters! First is the intelligent, ever-curious Shion of No.6! That dystopian sci-fi novel/manga/anime series with the magical parasite bees and completely heterosexual men and mice and dancing under sunsets and all of that good stuff. ....It's a lot better than it sounds, I promise.

It's important to note that I'll be pulling him from the novels as opposed to the anime, which doesn't change the basic plot that much from his canon point, which is volume 4, chapter 2 (though I'll be using his manga appearance). And, well.... Let's just say that Shion's personality has a few sides that we don't get to see that much in the anime. Expect a lot of fascination about Asgard and everyone here! Also, he can write mental poetry like nobody's business. I'm not even kidding.

The second character I'll be bringing you is Finland of Axis Powers Hetalia! Yes, that series with the personified nations that you're probably sick of, blah blah.... but we have a full Nordic cast now! Finland is being taken from 1588, so he's still a part of Sweden and will therefore be even more skittish and worried than usual. Expect a good deal of screaming.... but at least he's a nice and easily approachable guy (and a pretty normal one for the most part when compared to the other nations)! Really! Unlike that super scary monster of a man nation that will probably be following him just about everywhere.

Shion is in Sigyn with the healing ability and Finland is in Heimdall with the damage drain ability!

Hello my lovelies, are we settling in well? Noah here (Midna/GUMI/Rider-mun) bringing in hopefully my last pupped for the time, Inara Serra from the criminally short-lived series Firefly. I was originally planning on Mal instead, but this woman was just too fabulous to pass up.



For those who don't know, Firefly was another brainchild of Joss Whedon, aka the one who made Buffy the Vampire Slayer AND who's directing the Avengers. So if you can't tell, I adore this man. Anyway, Firefly is easily described as a Western in space, and it is as good as most people say. Inara is a member of the Serenity crew, and is basically the mommy of the dysfunctional family. She's very loving and patient, and she's going to be staying in Freya with her new Charms.

Oh, and she is a Companion. Yes, that kind of Companion. Though I won't have it opened for a little while for settling in purposes, I do have a voicemail designated for clients. Inara takes her work very seriously, so it's wise to, um, not call her a whore.

Hello, Assguardians! Metin here (who plays Shiage Hamazura) is bringing you Utena Tenjou from Revolutionary Girl Utena. To basically sum it up, it's a show about beautiful people, lesbian overtones, FABULOUS MAX car rides and turning fairy tales upside down. First is Ion Fortuna (metsunselah) from that series where it's a fight as to which group has more good looking guys, Trinity Blood. He's a Methuselah, which is a fancy term for vampires in the series. He's the Prince of Moldova and Count of Memphis so if he turns into a little angry tsun brat, just let it pass and troll him more 8Db He's in Heimdall!!

Second is Ringo Tsukimiya (idolatrap) from that game/series where guys sing to woo you, Uta no Prince-sama. He -- YES, HE'S A HE despite looking like Sheryl Nome's mother -- is the very picture of a maiden your resident Freyan crossdressing teacher/idol and has the tendency to send flying kisses, sparkle and be surrounded by shoujo bubbles. But seriously, he's a manly man inside all of that.

Hello Asgard! Gingey(mun of Accelerator and Mugino Shizuri) here, bringing you Kanako Watanabe--also known as the President--from that fabulous anime where domino mask wearing mecha pilots and a Galactic Pretty Boy sing out their youth, Star Driver!

Kanako here is calculating and intelligent, but tends to pretend to be no more than a spoiled, airheaded flirt. She's good with finances, is a world-class boxer, used to be a mecha pilot for a ~secret organization~(where she dressed like this...), and at 15 is married to a rich 65 year-old French man. She also has a habit of kissing boys through glass windows. She'll be in Loki with Telepathy as her ability.

He is a member of Sigyn with healing as his power though he'll probably be using that power on himself the most instead of anyone else. Comes with being rather clumsy and attracting people who like to beat him up.

The other is Aoto from a game called Ar tonelico Qoga! He is a perverted jerk with a love of drills and is the hero of the game so that means he's got a heart of gold under it all and is really good at running around inside of girls and getting them to deal with their issues. ... well most of the time. He is in the Loki house since he's pretty much in a near-constant state of teasing people.

Hi, I'm Poopsie, and I am new to this place. I bring you Johan Liebert from the anime/manga Monster! He is a well-groomed, well-read man who has been under quite a few identities and let into the hearts, minds and homes of many...and has destroyed most of them :')

He is a s o c i o p a t h, a monster, really. It's hard to get into his past without spoiling the crap out of the series, but the rundown is that he's a 21-year old German man who is incredibly charismatic and sociable, but is like, totally a killer behind it all. Children, the elderly, women and men, nothing and no one is safe from him, just to hit home how it's not some vigilante thing where he kills people who he thinks are bad or something. He has cult followings in Germany where some think he is the AntiChrist and is generally an asshole, but uh, behind a very pleasant exterior. And a nice cologne, maybe.

Now that we're past that, I'll be playing Samantha Russell, an OC! She's the main character of an illustrative story I'm working on called Solstoria which is all about her and her dumbass brother! I actually play him at exitvoid and his name is Lawrence Russell and he is a bit of a possessed junkie. In the story, Samantha is a small girl from a farmland who's targeted by a wicked spirit. Her brother protects her from the monster, but is possessed by it in the process. In a gamble, Samantha challenges the monster. If she defeats him, he must release both their souls, if she loses... well. Horrible ends for all. A-Anyway, Samantha must fight to become a royal knight and gain the courage and strength to fight against a monster that's using her brother as a puppet.

Hello, roleplayers of Asgard! I am very excited to be here! This will be my first LJ game of the year, and DW game. My name is Rain, but it's short for Raelin. I changed my name just in case someone else was called Raelin. Do we have anyone by that name here? Either way, you can call me Rain.

Today I will introduce you to Raimei Shimizu, my first character to join this game. She is from a manga/anime known as Nabari no Ou. If anyone knows that weird pink hair samurai with her exact last name, then that will be her older brother, Raikou. She is taken from the manga verse during chapter 50, before Yoite's death. So right now, she is going to be very, very, very worried over Miharu and the others, so expect a lot of yelling and fumming over being kidnapped. Yeeeah. She is a bundle of energy, who doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut sometimes and might even confuse you for a street lamp or anything that happens to be close by. Terrible, terrible habit. Also for the warrior types, she loves to train A LOT, so whoever wants to be her sparring partner would be awesome. Age doesn't matter because she will fight anyone twice her age if she has to.

Anyway, Raimei will be in the Freya house with the Power Transfer ability. Also, due to how new this journal is, it will take a while to put everything up -- like her application, permission post, inbox thing, and etc -- then I will not intro her into the game until it's all done. Greetings Ass Guardians! As you all know, we have now completely switched over to Dreamwidth and can now get things rolling again! So, a few things first:

1. Our first game-wide MANDATORY HMD will be posted on the 20th of January.
2. Activity Check will begin on the 26th of January and will only require ONE EXAMPLE OF ACTIVITY from this month.
3. Day changes will no longer be posted in the main community every two days. Instead, Day Changes will be indicated on the calendar for each month. February's should be up soon!

Now, just a note: We are currently working on revamping the taken list so that it shows character names AND journals. Because DW apparently doesn't recognize the title="" codes, we'll have to go back and add every name manually, so it WILL take a while. Please be patient.

You may argue. I will tell you that AIM chat tends to lag after a while, is not conducive to just sitting in and idling (since it likes to ping you anytime anyone says... anything at all), and is nowhere near as easy to make side channels with (for example, if I need to grab all my Saints in a side channel for plotting, it's much easier to do that on IRC than on AIM.) And there's nothing wrong with using the AIM chat - I would just like to present an alternative!

Note that this is not an official chat unless it becomes one but don't do anything you wouldn't do in AIM (don't be too much of a jerk, etc).

"But how do we do this, Matty?"

The first step is to get some sort of IRC client, OR JUST CLICK THIS LINK IF YOU'RE LAZY.

mIRC is a great Windows client, though it will nag you after a while to register it (note: you don't have to).
HydraIRC is a Windows client that apparently is good but I have zero experience with it!
Colloquy is a great Mac client ... or so I'm told. I don't touch Macs, so.
Mibbit is the web choice for people who don't want to download a client - it's alright!

After that (no matter which of the ones you're using), tell it to connect to irc.lunarnet.org, port 6667 or 4444. Join channel #asgard and HEY THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THERE... or... they're all idle, but that's not really the point, PEOPLE.

"It's not working, Matty!"

It might be a firewall issue! Make sure you let your firewall know to let you connect on port 6667 and you should be alright. If that doesn't work, you may need to fuck around, and here is a handy list of things that may or may not work.

"Okay, I'm on! What do I do, Matty?"

Here is a useful list of Commands You Should Know. Most of them are pretty self-explanatory and the LunarNet people have done a good joerb in making sure to explain what the commands are.

The first thing you should do is REGISTER YOUR NAME, because if someone else takes it, well, sucks to be you I guess! A lot of people I know on LunarNet go by character names but since there are other CFUD games on LunarNet that use IRC, you may not get it - regardless, whatever you do decide on, register so people can't troll you and kick you (and if I need to give people IRC powers, I can do that).

Also, if you are adding a name to your collection of names, use /msg nickserv GROUP, not register a new name - it'll link the name to your previous name (with all permissions/etc that go with it!)

No, but seriously; on the surface he's a charming British gentleman thief. The reality, though, is that he's a smug douche who is quick to betray associates, and even close friends, for a larger payout. Maybe he's softened a bit since he died (he's post-game, after grenade'ing himself to get away from Nathan Drake forever). I will leave that to all of you to find out. :')

Hey again, this is Lifi, player of one history buff Keine Kamishirasawa, now re-introducing Yui Hirasawa from K-On... Most because it looked like everyone was a little too busy with holidays and/or unwilling to navigate LJ given how messed up it is lately to have noticed my prior intro..!

She's essentially a moeblob derp that has her guitar with her - having slept while hugging onto her guitar as usual when she was brought here - is surprisingly good at learning things if she does put her mind to it, and is actually an older sister even though she acts more like the younger one... yeah.

So yes! Looking forward to playing as her here in Asgard! Her intro will be coming up in about..... 12 hours or so?!

Hello, Asgard! My name is Varis, and today I am bringing with me into your lovely game one Elena Fisher of Uncharted fame!

She's honestly the real hero of these games, if you haven't played them. I know that tool Drake is on all the promo art and his fat ass did the Subway commercial, but Elena is the hero. You know why? She actually married that sweaty mess.

okay no seriously, Elena is a relatively A-typical heroine type in the sense of Nate's Indiana trying really hard to be a playboy but her sass and physical abuse brings him back every time. She's playful and sarcastic but she's also seriously tired of Nate's shenanigans, so... be prepared for a lot of domestic discord. Elena's in Freya's house, and her power is Charm.

I probably won't be introing her until late tomorrow night, because I'm at my sister's right now, and her internet sucks. However, if you need to reach me for whatever reason, my plurk is humanspectre and my aim is harder to kill. OOC I am also zombieproof!

Hey guys, Kris here! Some of you make know me as that chick who plays Capell from Infinite Undiscovery, and some of you may not know me at all. Well, now you do. S'up?

Anyways, this time around I will bringing in not one, but two new characters. First up we have Yukio Okumura from Ao no Exorcist. He's Rin's twin brother, and Yukio's kinda overprotective of him. Just so ya know.

Secondly we have Kyrie from Devil May Cry 4. She's Nero's adopted sister.... and his girlfriend. Yeah. That's right. Her journal is spardanhymns in case you're interested.

So I'll be intro-ing them sometime tomorrow, since I am super tired and in no shape to be writing up posts right now. So I'll catch you kids tomorrow with at least one of these guys.
