I really should have done this several weeks ago however, I was thinking I could be clever and multi-task but I'm just not one of those women that can do that. Due to some unexpected life fail/relocating - I'm going to be pretty friggen slow where Asgard is concerned, especially seeing as it's a new game for me and I have yet to really get into the flow.

Castmates/peeps who have me on plurk - if you ping me I will respond to tags and the like, but it will be a case of, if I know there's something for me to respond to, I'll be on it. Otherwise I won't be actively tagging out until life settles a bit.

I'm also thinking I may bite the bullet early and drop Rose [personal profile] littledhampir as her intro fell kind of flat - but I'll sit on that one for a few days before I make a decision one way or another.

Thank you ahead of time for your awesome understanding.

On a positive note for the TW cast - We have a John Hart apping this round :D

Wanted to drop in a note that I am back from my hiatus! My nephew was born safe and healthy, and I have a week until I start my new job, so everything's all hunky dory on this end again~

As such, Nine will be back in action with a post hopefully later tonight! In the meantime, I'll work on backtagging his intro and a few other things, but please feel free to ignore anything you get if you deem it too long ago to bother with. I'm perfectly fine with handwaving!

Has anything happened recently in-game that I should know about? I, unfortunately, haven't managed to check the community more than once or twice since the eleventh ;A;

PSA!
Quick heads up for anyone not on my plurk list with a bit of an apology--

Work and IRL have been giving me the whip lately and I have been super friggin' wonky with my tagging speed, but I wanted to let everyone know ahead of time that I am going to be MIA until Thursday night or Friday morning. By then I will pick up all of my tags.

Wednesday, I have an audition clinic for a ballet I am trying out for with my company :)! And Thursday is when the auditions are being held and I have a lot a lot a lot of conditioning to do beforehand.

SO I hope that everyone stays cool until then and if there is ANYTHING you really want Fluttershy to hit up, let me know and I'll see you guys when I get back :D!

so. i just got off hiatus. but my keyboard has now quit on me without giving that mandatory two weeks notice. several keys are no longer responding in any way, shape or form and unfortunately they're ones i use pretty often... like, the shift key... and most of the symbol keys... so tags will be coming incredibly slowly while i try to sort this out.

i just ordered another powercord for another computer which... is not in the best of condition but i'll fix it.

ᴀsɢᴀʀᴅ ɢᴇɴᴇsɪs ❧ mod account
26 March 2012 @ 09:50 pm
That's right, guys! It's AC time. For Asgard's AC, players need to check in and provide their own activity. Using one of the two forms below, please post a comment to this entry. All players must comment, even if their character is exempt. Characters who aren't posted at all during the AC period will be dropped from the game. Characters whose journals have joined the comms but who haven't posted on the taken list will also be removed. If you got accepted with a character but didn't ever join the comms / post to the lists, you no longer have claim on that character as of the end of AC.

Exemptions to AC requirements will be made for the following:

Characters who have been on hiatus for at least two weeks of the month.
Characters who were accepted during the current AC round,
Characters whose muns have serious extenuating circumstances and have talked to the mods about them. (As in, if your Grandma died or you had no net access or something, we'll work with you.)

If you are on hiatus during the AC period, you will be given an extension on commenting til the end of your hiatus. You must comment here within 48 hours of your hiatus ending in order to pass AC. For this rule and for AC exemption, your hiatus has to have been posted on the official hiatus page. Hiatuses only posted in the OOC comm or not posted at all don't count.

Activity requirement for non-exempt characters is two of the following.

ONE post made in [community profile] asgardeventide. Posts filtered to self (fully private, not open to comments) do not count. There is no requirement for number of comments within the post, but it has to have been open to commenting.
Participation in ONE network post made by someone else. Network threads must include at least ten comments from your character. (If you don't have any with ten comments, you can provide three that add up to at least 10. Two with five each aren't enough -- if you aren't getting long threads, we'd like to see that you're getting a higher number of short ones.)
ONE post made in [community profile] asgardmeridiem OR participation in ONE log posted by someone else. Log threads must include at least three comments from your character regardless of who posted the starter.

Also required on months with a game-wide HMD (this is required for March!) will be a link to your comment on the HMD meme. If you didn't comment to HMD during the posted dates, you'll automatically recieve a strike.

Characters who don't have enough activity will also receive a strike. This strike will be erased by two months of passing AC. If you receive a strike in January, it will last through February and March but will not apply in April. Characters who receive two strikes will be dropped from the game. In other words, characters who fail activity twice in three months will be removed. Essentially you get a second chance if you fall behind once, so make use of it when you can.

In short, all characters in the game need to be posted to this entry, but exempt ones don't have to post links and ones without enough activity can take a strike and stay in the game. Exempt characters are welcome to post activity if they have it, though -- it won't count against them not to, but it will count for something in a system to be revealed in February! That said, please select the proper form and reply to this entry.

For Characters with Activity
For Exempt Characters

Activity must be posted by 11:59PM on April 1, 2012.
Activity proofs can have been posted any time in the month of March!

KANONE HILBERT ([personal profile] bloodyperky)

KOS-MOS

But as much as I enjoy playing KOS-MOS, I can't work up the activity needed to keep her here. I can't apologize enough to the CR she had as I enjoyed every single bit of it. Maybe one day I'll be able to app her here again, but as it is I'm going to have to let her go. Thank you to everyone who ever tagged her; it was a real joy.

I'll still be here with Shiki, Akari, and Caius though, so don't think this is the end!!

Have to bite the bullet, guys. )8 While I love playing Fang, I'm squatting on her and not getting her out there when she should be. It's not fair for me to be doing that, especially to my castmates.

So Fang is going home. She's going to miss all of you crazy people.

Bayonetta, Ezio, and Alan are still around though! You guys aren't getting rid of me yet. ♥

Kida Masaomi [Bolt!]
26 March 2012 @ 11:49 pm
Hey guys! Tosshi here in Kida's account because of his shiny paid poll privileges.

We're here this time for a very important poll. We're sure you've noticed, but with an event-heavy, much-work-to-be-done game like ours, the monthly app round is leaving everything in a constant state of rushed. The current mod situation is often "Oh no, it's reserves already? We just finished the last round's stuff!", and we know this busyness has been causing some of our processes to lag. While some things have improved especially this month, others haven't, and a lot of that is the sheer volume of per-cycle things to do.

So, as one possible solution, some players brought up the idea of having less frequent app cycles. With a big game like this, it'd help a lot for our sanity and for you guys having information updated faster and other such things. Our proposal is thus: bi-monthly app rounds. Basically, apps would only open every other month. No other changes. It'd make things a lot easier on us as a team to do it this way, which should reflect well in our other work.

Of course, there's always a downside. People enabled right after a round closes may get bored of waiting so long, for one. Other options we haven't considered as heavily include capping the number of characters allowed in the game at once, capping the number of apps we process per round, and having continuously-open apps. Obviously each of these have their upsides and downsides but they aren't really what we want to do right now. If you guys want to discuss them or other ideas in this post though, feel free! Maybe we won't need to change anything at all once we've chosen our helpers (apps are still open here and we'll probably choose this week), but we're throwing this one idea out to you for now.

Should app cycles be slowed to bi-monthly?

Please be fair and only vote once if possible! It's ok if a couple of people accidentally vote twice, but it'd be fairest if that didn't happen. Also, remember that the final decision is always in the hands of the mods.

Sawada 'Tsuna' Tsunayoshi

Iiiiiiiiiiiii really should have done this before but anyway, uni is kicking my butt and bogging me down with lots of essays and so very little time so I'm calling a hiatus until April 5th so I can try to get on top of things. I'll still be trying to answer tags but all things from me will be slower than molasses, I'm sorry about this.

If you need me, just drop a note on my HMD or hit me up with a private plurk on my plurk melonette. o/ I'LL BE BACK SOON AND ON TOP OF THINGS HOPEFULLY.
