i've been putting this off since i love the game, but it's time to bite the bullet-- asgard's just too fast for me at the moment, so lancer/broduil & noel/kreissmas will be heading back home. apologies to my wonderful casts, i honestly loved playing both of them here and will try and come back with someone once my life slows up a bit, but right now it's goodbye from me!

Oh no, it's here! That's right, it's Activity Check time. For Asgard's AC, players need to check in and provide their own activity. Using one of the two forms below, please post a comment to this entry. All players must comment, even if their character is exempt. Characters who aren't posted at all during the AC period will be dropped from the game. Characters whose journals have joined the comms but who haven't posted on the taken list will also be removed. If you got accepted with a character but didn't ever join the comms / post to the lists, you no longer have claim on that character as of the end of AC.

Exemptions to AC requirements will be made for the following:

• Characters who have been on hiatus for at least two weeks of the month.
• Characters who were accepted during the current AC round,
• Characters whose muns have serious extenuating circumstances and have talked to the mods about them. (As in, if your Grandma died or you had no net access or something, we'll work with you.)

If you are on hiatus during the AC period, you will be given an extension on commenting til the end of your hiatus. You must comment here within 48 hours of your hiatus ending in order to pass AC. For this rule and for AC exemption, your hiatus has to have been posted on the official hiatus page. Hiatuses only posted in the OOC comm or not posted at all don't count.

Activity requirement for non-exempt characters is two of the following.

• ONE post made in asgardeventide. Posts filtered to self (fully private, not open to comments) do not count. There is no requirement for number of comments within the post, but it has to have been open to commenting.
• Participation in ONE network post made by someone else. Network threads must include at least ten comments from your character. (If you don't have any with ten comments, you can provide three that add up to at least 10. Two with five each aren't enough -- if you aren't getting long threads, we'd like to see that you're getting a higher number of short ones.)
• ONE thread in any character's IC Inbox! These count as network threads, so they need at least ten comments from your character. Short inbox threads can also be combined like network threads, using the "at least three threads that add up to ten comments" rule. Network and Inbox threads can be combined when compiling shorter threads, as we consider them the same type of activity!
• ONE post made in asgardmeridiem OR participation in ONE log posted by someone else. Log threads must include at least three comments from your character regardless of who posted the starter.

Also required on months with a game-wide HMD (this is required for May!) will be a link to your comment on the HMD Meme. If you didn't comment to HMD during the posted dates, you'll automatically recieve a strike.

Characters who don't have enough activity will also receive a strike. This strike will be erased by two months of passing AC. If you receive a strike in January, it will last through February and March but will not apply in April. Characters who receive two strikes will be dropped from the game. In other words, characters who fail activity twice in three months will be removed. Essentially you get a second chance if you fall behind once, so make use of it when you can. If you wish to take a strike on purpose, you still have to comment to this entry. You can use the non-exempt forms and in place of links to proofs, just tell us you're here but want a strike for that character.

In short, all characters in the game need to be posted to this entry, but exempt ones don't have to post links and ones without enough activity can take a strike and stay in the game. Exempt characters are welcome to post activity if they have it, though -- it won't count against them not to, but it might make your proofs a little easier to find for Leveling Up! That said, please select the proper form and reply to this entry.

Hey everybody! Tosshi here pretending to be Mikey (and using Gamzee's poll-making ability) to talk about two things!

First, we noticed that it can be kind of a pain finding out what characters' canon points are right now, if they don't post their app in their journal. We are considering adding that info to the taken list to make it easier for everyone! The problem is that'll require reformatting said taken list at least a little, and gathering that info. SO A POLL FOR YOU:

For the second question, to explain a bit: We could either make a post asking everyone to comment with just their canon point and then manually add them in, like we did with DW names when we moved. OR, we can revamp the code and then ask everyone to recomment to the list with the new code, which would mean you all have to fill out a bigger form, but the mods would have it a lot easier.

Since our guess is that people overall will want the canon points added regardless of which way question two goes, we're also opening up to suggestions if there are other fields you think the taken list is missing. If we get a ton of the same suggestions, we'll add those fields as well.




Second, journals that are in the comms but not on the taken list are about to be removed (as in within a minute of this post going up probably). If you have an active character whose journal got removed, pleas first check the Taken List and make sure they're on it correctly. If not, use the form to get yourself put on the list. If they are already correctly listed it's most likely out mistake, so please comment to this entry with your username.

Either way, once you've let us know you should be in the comms, go ahead and rejoin them and we'll accept you asap. Thanks!

While you can’t do magic in Asgard, this more about sharing information, having discussions, lectures about and experiences with magic. This is for people that used magic in their home worlds. Also those that didn’t have magic in their worlds but want to learn about it. More details about the guild and member stuff can be found here

As we flood the OOC comm. We're sorry for the delay, but as the Competitive Hugging event is about to start (on May 28), we're going to need to tally the hugs!

By the rules of the event, a hug "counts" only when someone effected by the event gives that hug. Whether the person they hug is also effected or not is irrelevant. Hugging NPCs does count, so a ballpark number is totally fine! For more details, check out the event post linked above.

Yeah, I'm afraid I've bitten off more than I could chew lately, and it kind of bit me in right back. As such, I can't keep up with Asgard as it is. I really enjoyed playing America here, and maybe one day i can bring him back, but for now I'm just going to bow out. Sakura Haruno is coming with me, alas, as well, though.
