this is booth, from a series of fairly obscure short stories. he hates people. especially when they're loud, or dead. but you know what's great? books, omg, you guys, books. but he's not in odin because that would just make him happy and proud of himself, and we can't have that.

Hey, guys! The results of the poll are in, which means we have the rest of your January events for you! Before I get into them, however, we have a couple of reminders that we noticed might help understand our policies a bit.

The first is about Activity Check check-ins. This one's always a kicker so we try to make reminders for it every couple of months or so.

• Every character in Asgard is required to respond to AC, regardless of whether you were accepted during the AC month or if you were on hiatus. You are always required to check in to AC.
• If you were accepted during the AC month or if your hiatus covered more than two weeks of the month, then you are exempt from the 30 comment requirement, but you still have to respond to AC to let us know that you're around.
• If you are on hiatus during the AC period, you have 72 hours following the end of your hiatus to respond to AC.
• Only hiatuses posted on the official hiatus page will count for an exemption / the 72 hour extension.
• Failure to respond to AC with these things will result in a strike. Strikes are cleared after passing two consecutive AC periods with the 30 comment requirement. Hiatus passes will not clear a strike.
• If you have any extenuating circumstances that prevent you from either making activity or responding to AC, contact the mods immediately. Letting us know beforehand is always better than trying to work things out after AC has already been processed. We will try to work with you as best as we can, so don't be afraid to talk to us!

And that's pretty much it! If you are ever confused or need clarification on our AC policies, don't hesitate to ask. We hate having to sweep people for missing AC because we want to keep you in our pockets forever and ever, so please let us know how we can help you accomplish your AC.

Second, remember to get your Holes submissions in! The Holes bring in things like monsters or illnesses from your canon worlds, so it's a fun way to bring a bit of your own flavour into the game. For more information, you can read up on the Holes here. Submissions for this month should be posted here and we will draw for this month's Holes event on January 11. Good luck!

*ahem* Latroma here. You may remember me from such loud-moths as Equius Zahhak, and that crazed half-demon bitch who talks to people constantly and only makes sense half the time. I think her name's Samantha. I am taking Equius off hiatus, as I am finding that the work I need to do is not so strenuous as long as I don't over-extend myself in Asgard. I'll leave his hiatus posting up just in case, but he should have 30 posts no problem.

Oh, right... her. *jabs a thumb* Everyone, meet Kin Tsuchi. She's from that happy-go-lucky anime world with the bratty blonde kid that likes ramen and has a super-powerful kitsune spirit stuck in his belly. Do not ask me how, or why I got enabled to drag this muse out of mothballs, but I've always been a fan of minor characters nobody ever fucking remembers, and I've been missing having a legitimate sociopath on the cast ever since Samantha canon-updated, put runes on her back and reformed. So, brought Kin out.

Okay yes I'm gonna keep this brief like a very suave professional, if I can. We meet again on the fields of destiny, Asgard, etc. etc. lifelong oath, blood of our enemies. I'm going to be bringing in Greg Lestrade from BBC's Sherlock! He's a hardworking, long-suffering, surprisingly ulcer-free Detective Inspector who plays team dad more than he generally plans on doing. I guess expect some gallows humor, being 1000% done with the world's shit, and some dude being invested in the well-being of all the civilians. His canonpoint is a bit after the series 2 finale, so we can pretty much avoid me spoiling series 3 stuff no problem if that's a concern.

Lestrade's in Heimdall with a helping of the Damage Drain power, currently in room #202 at the corresponding welcome hall! I look forward to immediately tossing him into shenanigans and serious widespread disasters.

So, as chance would have it, I changed one Disney Princess who slept a lot from outside evil forces.... for another Disney Princess who sleeps a lot due to outside evil forces, this time it's an apple!

Hi Asgard! My name is Jackie and I am brand new to the game, but I am bringing you one villainous dark elf, Malekith from Thor: The Dark World! (Because everything needs more bad guys, right??) He's got a place in Hel house, and since he's loathe to have anything to do with any kind of Asgard, I'm sure it'll be only a matter of time before he gets up to some kind of nefarious scheme.

I do have an opt-out post over here if you're concerned about spoilers for the movie, or just want nothing to do with potentially super negative CR! Ok, so I may have mentioned here and there that Brax (and Romana) have been messing about with a radio station fixing it up and so on. To what end you may ask? 

So we can start a radio channel! You may find in each Welcome House there is a radio in the main living area, placed there recently and that local Asgard shops have begun (albeit tentatively) to sell radios as well for personal use.

ABOUT THE RADIO: It's a business. So this will be largely paid for by advertising. This will go into people's salaries, as Irving will pray for loan forgiveness. If your business needs a boost, by all means, we can assume that the ads will have featured (if you want to, you can have a script for one written out!)

Here's what I have so far:

Head of AAS: Irving Braxiatel (calm, easy going and seeming to have ulterior motives, will be keeping a very close eye on proceedings.)
Co-Head of AAS: Romanadvoratrelundar (any mistakes regarding Romana actually being charge is only natural and quickly forgiven.)

News Reporter: (UNOCCUPIED) (Will be kept a close eye on, as this will be largely a role for propaganda - all is well, no problems here - reporting. Any news items that is reported will be subject to review and possibly censorship. News items that are likely to get through are - obvious victories, state of festivals, birthdays, community initiatives and so on. Items likely to be censored - hey what are those assassins up to in that secret base? Hey, the Master is totally a Time Lord bent on universal domination. Also the likes of Snape being in love with Lily - basically anything that can be used against a Traveller.)
Weather Person: (UNOCCUPIED) (Will deliver a weather report; be able to [willing to learn how to] scientifically deduce the weather.) 

Other: (UNOCCUPIED) (YOU tell ME. Fancy singing/playing/audio acting? Have a comedy show? A chat show? Be a psychic medium and play with cards? Anything to fill up air time!)

Any plotting can go into this post, but here's where you sign up to either advertising or job. Once I've a decent idea as to who wants to do what I'll have Irving make a post on the network and we can get this set up!

Hey, guys! With the militarization of Asgard, some of Sigyn’s humanitarians are kicking things into gear. Sandy, Ellie, and Souji all have been working on applying their growth powers in more efficient ways to the war, and they will be spurred to action by the news of the attack on Alfheim.

What does this mean for everyone else? It means armor, weapons, and an IC attempt at organization in their own house!
